Theron D. Morrison

Theron Morrison, Attorney at Law

Biography

Born in Portland and raised in Boise, Theron Morrison is a consumer-focused attorney who’s spent his career standing up for regular people facing down powerful institutions. He graduated from Metropolitan State University and earned his law degree from Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon, in 2004.

Theron’s passion for helping people through financial hardship is rooted in his own childhood. When he was ten, his parents divorced and he lived with his dad, who owned several rental properties. After Theron’s mom stopped paying the mortgages with the rents received, his dad was forced to file for bankruptcy. It was a tough and emotional chapter—but Theron saw firsthand the relief that bankruptcy could bring to a struggling family. That experience shaped his mission: to help others regain their footing when the system feels stacked against them.

He began his legal career to fight for the underdog—protecting clients from banks, debt collectors, and corporate bullies. But his scope expanded after watching his own ex-wife be taken advantage of financially during her divorce by what he opined and viewed as a predatory attorney. Once the lawyer saw her assets, he promised her the world, filed unnecessary pleadings, and racked up legal fees without delivering results. That experience lit a fire in Theron to take on family law—determined to bring honesty and fairness to a system that too often rewards manipulation.

Theron is a former president of the Weber County Bar Association and of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA), a nationwide group of top-tier consumer bankruptcy lawyers.

Outside of work, he’s a proud dad of seven and puts real effort into doing what they love—whether that’s hitting the slopes, road-tripping, or just being present. He’s at his best outdoors, especially skiing and backpacking, and finds peace in a good book and a trailhead. That’s what makes him feel alive.
