This blog is a continuation of a series of articles on former bankruptcy debtors repairing, correcting, and verifying the information contained on their credit report after a bankruptcy case is filed. Debtors who utilize the discipline, patience, and advice in these articles, may, over time, rebuild credit and return to a normal financial life.

The Morrison Law Group provides exceptional service because it continues to assist clients post-bankruptcy. Not all Utah bankruptcy law firms are in a position to make this claim.

Obtain Credit with a Co-Signer

When former bankruptcy debtors try to rebuild credit, a co-signer may help them qualify for cards and loans with better interest rates and lower fees. Not only does this decrease the amount of dollars paid out-of-pocket, but it also helps re-establish credit more quickly.

Of course, having someone co-sign presents great responsibilities. Co-signers are usually close family members or good friends. Payments on these loans must be made on time without exception. Nobody wants to ruin someone else’s credit.

Remember that many credit card companies will not accept co-signers for credit. However, generally, automobile lenders and others will provide credit because of a co-signer.

The goal of the Morrison Law Group is to provide clients with a fresh start through the filing of a bankruptcy case. To do so requires assisting clients not only during a pending bankruptcy case; but also assisting them after they receive their discharge order and their bankruptcy case closes.

Bankruptcy helps good Americans escape financial hardship and start from the beginning and return to a normal life. Call the Morrison Law Group at 801.456.9933 today to schedule a FREE consultation.
